ONE Length FAQ

Why should I consider using ONE Length irons over traditional irons?

ONE Length is designed to make your game simpler and easier. You can use the same stance, ball position and swing for every iron to improve your consistency and accuracy. And since each iron is modeled after 7-iron length, you can swing your long irons as comfortably as you would your 7-iron.

How will my swing and setup change with a ONE Length iron set?

Traditional iron sets vary in length causing your ball position and posture to change as you switch from a long iron to a short iron. With a ONE Length set, you can use the same setup and posture for every club resulting in more consistent solid contact.

Will my ONE Length long irons fly shorter because they’re shorter in length?

No, they will fly the same distance! We add weight to the ONE Length long iron heads to compensate for their shorter length, so they have the same swing feel and distances as a traditional long iron.

Will my ONE Length wedges fly farther because they’re longer in length?

Nope! We remove weight from the ONE Length wedges heads, so they have the same swing feel and distances as traditional short irons and wedges.

Is ONE Length best for beginners?

ONE Length irons are a great option for beginners, but they’re not the only players than can benefit from them! GEARS testing with ONE Length irons has shown that more experienced players have an easier time finding center contact when compared to traditional irons.

Can I turn any variable length set into a ONE Length set by just adjusting all of the lengths to be the same?

No. The head weights need to be adjusted to compensate for the length changes or else the swing weights will be way off. And we're not talking just a little bit of lead tape. Our ONE Length long iron heads are adjusted to add up to 30g to match the swing weight of a normal 7-iron. On the other hand, we have remove up to 30g of weight from the ONE Length wedge heads for the same reason.
